A five-vehicle crash was reported on Tamarack Lane, where four apparently eventually drove away but the fifth landed in a ditch and the driver could not be located. On U.S. 2 just south of Hagerman Lane a woman apparently was injured. Two vehicles crash on U.S. 2 West, and Marion ambulance, Smith Valley fire and Kalispell fire were paged. No further details were available immediately.

The man left in his truck, but later was tracked down by Kalispell police in west Kalispell. Police said he threatened to end it all, so he went to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for a mental-health evaluation. Both were taken into custody, ticketed on suspicion of partner or family member assault.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to a ranch on U.S. 93 near Olney to investigate several 911 hang ups. An ambulance was requested during at least one of the abbreviated calls. Upon arrival, deputies found the door kicked in and a 36-year-old man, who had been drinking, passed out in an office chair. The barely coherent man told deputies he entered the building after hearing voices inside. He was arrested and charged with trespassing and criminal mischief.

A man called Kalispell police to his Bluestone Drive residence because his daughter was out of control. He managed to contain her to her room, but also noticed two large kitchen knives were missing. The knives were found outside the bedroom and officers counseled the parties involved.

The Flathead County Alcohol Enforcement Team arrested 20 minors for possession of alcohol over the weekend. On Friday, three youths were arrested at an event at Majestic Valley Arena. On Saturday, 16 youths were cited and released to a responsible adult after officers responded to a house party on Vonderheide Lane. One of the kids was also charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. On Sunday, a 20-year-old woman was arrested on First Avenue West in Kalispell. The 21-year-old man who provided the woman with the alcohol was also cited.

Kalispell police arrested a 38-year-old woman on Parkway Drive for partner assault and disorderly conduct after she allegedly hit her spouse with a string of Christmas lights.
Man arrested for partner assault
Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 49-year-old man for partner assault after slapping the phone away from his girlfriend while she was on the line with 911 dispatchers. He allegedly hit her again, which dispatchers were able to discern over the still active connection. The man then left the residence, but was later arrested on Antelope Trail.
Lakeside park lease struck down
After an occasionally heated discussion Monday, the Flathead County Park Board voted to rescind a lease arrangement that gave the county 65 feet of lakefront property on Lakeshore Boulevard in Lakeside.

Whitefish police responded to a convenience store on U.S. 93 for what was reported as an assault. A woman claimed a man had pushed her out of his truck, causing her to crack her head on the way out. The man claimed he was trying to keep the woman in the truck, even going so far as to hold her in the jacket, and that she pulled away anyway and must have hit her head in the fall. No one was arrested.
