The man wasn't actually in the car at the time, which was lucky for him because Kalispell police most likely would have arrested him on suspicion of DUI. He was under the hood, trying to get the car to start. He was successful, but the car was in gear and backed into the wall.

After graduating from high school, he worked for his father and grandfather on the family farm in Whitetail.

Dog shot after chicken coop caper
Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance between two neighbors on Spring Hill Road. The disagreement began when one neighbor's dog started chasing the other neighbor's horses. When the horse owner went into the house to get her rifle, the dog then got into the chicken coop. The dog reappeared with an almost featherless chicken in its mouth and got shot. The dog's owner was upset.

Deputies recover stolen gun
Flathead County sheriff's deputies recovered a gun stolen 23 years ago in Missoula. It was purchased by an unsuspecting buyer at the Kalispell gun show earlier this month. To play it safe, the man who purchased the gun called deputies and asked them to check the serial number. It came back as stolen, and the man was forced to turn it over to the authorities. He is only 20 years old, and thus not a suspect in the theft, investigators said.

Western Outdoor owner Mark Pirrie uses a fire extinguisher to put out a roof fire outside a second-story apartment window above the business on South Main Street in Kalispell on Monday. Pirrie was successful at stopping the roof fire, which started from a burning flower pot. Kalispell Fire Department responded to the incident, and said in a press release that the fire was caused by "improper disposal of smoking materials." No one was injured.
A car on Woodland Road was borrowed without the owner's permission. It was returned, but with the driver's side all smashed in. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies took the report.
