He was under the hood, trying to get the car to start. He was successful, but the car was in gear and backed into the wall.

When the horse owner went into the house to get her rifle, the dog then got into the chicken coop. The dog reappeared with an almost featherless chicken in its mouth and got shot. The dog's owner was upset.

Deputies recover stolen gun
Flathead County sheriff's deputies recovered a gun stolen 23 years ago in Missoula. It was purchased by an unsuspecting buyer at the Kalispell gun show earlier this month. To play it safe, the man who purchased the gun called deputies and asked them to check the serial number. It came back as stolen, and the man was forced to turn it over to the authorities. He is only 20 years old, and thus not a suspect in the theft, investigators said.

Pirrie was successful at stopping the roof fire, which started from a burning flower pot. Kalispell Fire Department responded to the incident, and said in a press release that the fire was caused by "improper disposal of smoking materials." No one was injured.

Deputies respond to alleged assault
Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to an assault on Whalebone Drive. Two women and a man, who had been drinking, got into an argument and the man punched one of the women in the nose. Deputies are looking for the man, who fled before deputies arrived.
