Man upset about broken possessions
A man called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies to report his ex-girlfriend, who allegedly was breaking his belongings at a Whitefish Stage Road residence. Responding deputies determined little damage had been done. Three hours later the man called back, saying he was receiving threatening phone calls from the same woman.

A 43-year-old Evergreen man was arrested on suspicion of family member assault at a motel on Montana 35 after allegedly slapping around his 10-year-old daughter. The man reportedly lied to Flathead County sheriff's deputies about who he was to avoid being identified as a fugitive, so he also was ticketed on suspicion of obstructing justice.

Mabel Zoe Bush Luckey passed away peacefully in Kalispell on Aug.18, 2008, after a long battle with dementia. Mabel was born in 1921 in a rural Pine Flats cabin near Porter's Lake in Pike County, Pa., to Archie Edwin Bush and Janet Lord Miller Bush. She was a longtime resident of Monroe County, Pa., until moving to Montana in 1996.

died July 2, 2008, in Albuquerque, N.M. He was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Whitefish. Tim grew up in Eureka, and attended both grade school and high school in Eureka. As a child and young man he spent many happy summers at the Shea ranch, north of Eureka, with his grandparents George and Mabel Shea.
Helen R. Dixie Sears, 81, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008. She died of natural causes.
Dixie was delivered by her dad on Sept. 3, 1926, in Rapelje. She grew up on the family ranch and was one of seven children.

Man warned about public urinating
Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to a Columbia Falls storage facility after a man in a black Dodge pulled onto the property, got out of his vehicle, and began urinating. At the facility owner's request, deputies tracked the man down and warned him about indecent exposure.

She was born in a log cabin near Faunce in northern Minnesota on May 3, 1922, to V.E. and Anna Crabtree. The family later moved to Baudette, Minn., where she went to school. She graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., in 1943 and was married that summer to Marine Lt. George Sorben of Williston., N.D., who was killed in the invasion of Saipan.
