Alvin "Bud" Senner, 86, died on Saturday July 28, 2007, at his home in Kalispell. Bud was born on May 8, 1921, in Malta, to Henry and Anna Ruff Senner. He moved to the Flathead Valley at the age of 13. He lived in the valley all during the Depression years, attending local elementary schools.

A recently widowed woman in Hungry Horse was cleaning out her garage when she came across the jar and called it in. Her husband used to make dynamite in the 1940s. Deputies and an ordinance disposal team from Missoula built a bunker in the woman's driveway and blew it up, but the explosion reportedly wasn't that impressive.

He has a $25,000 warrant in Missouri. Deputies were called to the scene after he got into a fight with another man, who got away. He was arrested for possession of alcohol and resisting arrest. His first mistake: running from deputies. His second mistake: making that decision after deputies had cuffed him.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 19-year-old man for criminal endangerment, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest in Hungry Horse after he shot a firework at four deputies. It landed close enough to singe one officer's pants and burn his car. The suspect was arrested after a short foot chase.
