A shaken Lone Pine Road woman indebted to her pet dogs contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after a man broke into her home. The digester handles corrosive methane gas generated as part of the treatment plant’s solids reduction process and is getting an $863,000 overhaul. Financing costs and contingency reserves push the total estimated cost of the project up to about $1.2 million. Work on the primary digester should be finished by year’s end.

A report of a dead body was debunked after a brief investigation by the Whitefish Police Department Tuesday. A man had reported his belief that there was a dead body in the weeds near East Seventh Street after hearing from another person that a teenager had been lying in a nearby school parking lot, then got up, walked into the weeds and never came out. The man had also seen teenagers in a van acting suspicious in the area the prior night.

Am I listening to the points Mercedes Oxford wrote regarding my editorial about the political agenda inside of our educational community? You bet and I even hear what she is saying. However, her letter reminds me of my first paper in philosophy class my freshman year at the U of M in which I received a grade of F plus — well-written but completely irrelevant to the topic.
