Early-morning power outage
The Flathead Electric Cooperative reported it still was getting calls on Monday about an early-morning power outage that happened Sunday. The co-op said about 16,000 members in the Green Acres, south Kalispell, Somers, Lakeside and Bigfork areas lost their electricity as the result of a broken wire on a Bonneville Power Administration transmission line. The outage started at 3:50 a.m. and lasted less than two hours, the co-op reported.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of partner assault after responding to a disturbance on Creston Hatchery Road. The man allegedly grabbed a knife and chased his wife, who in return threatened to hit him with a pan, around the house until she called 911. He was gone when deputies arrived at the couple's residence, but authorities arrested him during a traffic stop a short while later.

He started his schooling in Lupfer, then moved with the family to Kalispell where he continued his education.

An intoxicated man allegedly hit on a 15-year-old baby sitter at a home on Somers Stage Road. Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded after other people present asked the man to stop and punches were thrown. Deputies forwarded their report to the Flathead County Attorney's Office for possible charges.
