Her family then moved to Musselshell and finally Roundup where she completed her secondary education. She was awarded a scholarship in mathematics and nursing but due to economic restraints was unable to attend.

Kalispell police responded to a First Street West residence where a woman told officers her husband of six days was throwing things around the apartment. The man had fled when officers arrived. They checked the residence about an hour later and arrested the 28-year-old suspect for partner assault while he stood outside on the steps.

Two men were observed helping two women, who had been drinking, into a car at a casino on Montana 35 in Bigfork. According to the person who called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies, the men and women didn't know each other. The driver of a logging truck on Thompson River Road called Flathead County sheriff's deputies to report several litters of puppies dumped off on the side of the road. A second trucker called in to report several other dogs, some of which were cut and bleeding. County animal wardens responded and picked up seven dogs from two locations. Some of them had bite marks. All were taken to the county animal shelter.

A very intoxicated woman on Pioneer Road in Evergreen called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies because her puppy was dying. Dispatchers gave the woman the number of an animal hospital and told her call them immediately.
