She was awarded a scholarship in mathematics and nursing but due to economic restraints was unable to attend.

A woman at the Flathead County Detention Center was rushed to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a severe hemorrhage after getting involved in a car accident on Fourth Avenue West and Third Street. She had been arrested after the crash on warrants, driving on a suspended license, and driving without insurance. No one else was injured in the wreck.

The driver of a logging truck on Thompson River Road called Flathead County sheriff's deputies to report several litters of puppies dumped off on the side of the road. A second trucker called in to report several other dogs, some of which were cut and bleeding. County animal wardens responded and picked up seven dogs from two locations. Some of them had bite marks. All were taken to the county animal shelter.

No one is sure how long the 22-year-old man was stuck in a trench on Shady Lane, but by the time paramedics arrived at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, he was unresponsive. He'd fallen through snow atop a trench and gotten his foot stuck in an old septic tank. Kalispell Fire Department ambulance took him to the hospital.
