Who can I love?
Countless workers give unappreciated 'gift'
This holiday season, take a moment to recognize and thank the hard-working men and women who perform “routine” tasks in our community. They are all around you. One simply need to take a moment to notice. The janitor, maid, garbage man, food server, cook, cashier, clerk, receptionist, newspaper delivery person, and countless others give their very best, every day, serving you.

A Christmas message
Every year about this time, liberals like to taunt conservatives such as myself by asking, “So how’s that war on Christmas going?” The implication from the disdain in their voices is that there is no such thing as a war on Christmas, and that only an idiot would say there is.

An appeal to Whitefish: Live and let live
Through a series of fortuitous events in 2004, we discovered Whitefish and the Flathead Valley. On our first trip, we knew this was the place we wanted to build a future for our family. We bought our lot on Big Mountain, began a lasting friendship with our Realtor and his wife, and set our plans in motion to build our home, with dreams of creating many memories for us, our children, and grandchildren: skiing, fishing, hiking, sharing Christmases with friends and family and enjoying all that this very beautiful part of the world has to offer.

That will be costly to the Dallas-based company, but industry experts say it’s unlikely to kill the project completely. Here’s a look at some of the ways the delay could impact the pipeline:
